Where Are We ?

Waipara Sleepers

The Waipara Sleepers is located in a small country town called Waipara which is in the North Canterbury region of the South Island on the East coast of New Zealand . We are part of the Hurunui District. Our place is only 200 meters from the junction of State Highways 1 and 7. Waipara is the fastest growing Wine and Olive area in NZ this is largely due to the micro climate of the valley which offers ideal conditions.

We are only 45 minutes drive from Christchurch & the International Airport. Christchurch is the 3rd biggest City in NZ and it is known as the Garden city. Christchurch would have to be the most beautiful city in New Zealand.

Hanmer is only 1 hr's drive away Hanmer is one of the most popular attractions in the South Island. It's Hot pools , Jet Boat Rides & Bungy jump make it a worth while place to stop.

Kaikoura Whale watching , Swim with the Dolphins or Seals & Feed the Sharks. Kaikoura is a popular stop over for Backpackers and Holiday makers in general.

It's only 40 minutes drive to the nearest ski field
